SB 1052, PN 1946
    This bill directs the department of general services to grant the Erie-Western Pennsylvania Port Authority certain lands situated in the city of Erie.  The legislation, as amended also direct the department of general services to grant the Derry Township municipal authority a certain easement for sanitary sewer purposes.  The legislation also grants certain land to Summerdale Associates, L.P and the Borough of Doylestown.  A 47-0 vote was recorded in concurrence on the House Amendments.  

HB 249, PN 4671    This bill amends the 1st Class Township Code to permit the use of a portion, not to exceed 1 mill, of the dedicated fire tax to support fire protection, ambulance service, rescue squads and other emergency services.  Senator Tomlimson offered amendment A 4628 that allows up to 3 mills if approved by voter referendum.  The amendment was adopted 47-0 and the bill went over in it’s order as amended.

HB 310, PN 356      This bill names a road in Lancaster County.  Senator Armstrong offered amendment A 4640 that designates a bridge in Lancaster County as the General Richard M Scott Bridge.  A 47-0 vote was recorded on the amendment and the bill went over in it’s order as amended.

SB 859, PN 1913    This bill amends the Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law by defining “performing person or group” and “recording person or group”.  This legislation also outlines further unfair acts.  A 47-0 vote was recorded.

HB 994, PN 4666    This measure would empower municipalities, counties and public transportation agencies to work cooperatively to establish Transit Revitalization Investment Districts (TRID) including partnerships with the National Railroad Passenger Corporation requiring planning studies.  A 47-0 vote was recorded.

HB 2022, PN 4073    This bill amends the Assessor Certification Act to require assessors of second class counties to comply with the act.  A 47-0 vote was recorded.

HB 2218, PN 3777    This bill amends the Liquid Fuels Tax Municipal Allocation Law. This measure would allow for local liquid fuels to be expended on computer-related hardware, software and training necessary to submit reports and verifications to PENNDOT.  The specific source of funds to assist in paying for expenditures is the Liquid Fuels Tax provided the costs in total do not exceed $1,000 annually.  No additional funds are placed in the mileage formula.  A 47-0 vote was recorded.

HB 2430, PN 3558    The bill amends the Vital Statistics Law by adding a section to require DNA samples prior to the issuance of a death certificate for unidentified body or fetal remains.  A 47-0 vote was recorded.
