HB 1130, PN3501 The legislation amends several
sections of Title 75 providing for learner’s permits, for drivers of emergency
vehicles, for the child Passenger Restraint Fund, for oral hazard warnings, and
for civil immunity for lenders of child passenger restraint systems. A 49-0
vote was recorded.
SB 200, PN1460
The legislation amends Title 24
(Education) to further provide for termination of annuities. The bill would
permit annuitants, who are certified teachers or other personnel who hold
instructional or administrative certificates (including coaches, advisors,
etc.), to return to service without penalty against their annuity, for a period
not to extend beyond the school year during which the emergency or shortage
occurs. A 48-1 vote was recorded.
SB 705, PN1461
The legislation defines
misleading statements regarding privacy on the Internet as a fraudulent business
practice. Making a false or misleading statement in a privacy policy, which is
published on the Internet or otherwise distributed to the public, regarding how
personal information submitted by a member of the public will be used, would be
a fraudulent business practice. This will be a summary offense punishable by a
fine of not less than $50 or more than $500. A 49-0 vote was recorded.
