SB 679, PN1549 The legislation amends the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act to address the possession or transporting of liquefied ammonia gas or possession of hypophosphoric acid and ammonium sulphate.  The bill makes it unlawful to possess or transport liquefied ammonia gas for any purpose other than a legitimate agricultural or industrial use in a container not approved by the Department of Agriculture or the Department of Transportation or both.  The offense would be graded as a misdemeanor punishable by a sentence of imprisonment not exceeding five years and/or a fine of $10,000.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.    

SB 689, PN1547 The legislation amends the Administrative Code to remove the requirement that the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) annually furnish uniform budget forms to municipalities.  The bill also eliminates the necessity for municipalities to file annual budgets with DCED.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.

HB 794, PN357 The legislation amends the Vital Statistics Law by changing the listings on birth certificates for foreign-born children and foreign–born children who are adopted in Pennsylvania, who meet the federal guidelines for citizenship and whose parents verify citizenship with Immigration and Naturalization Service.

A1575(Brightbill): This is a technical amendment clarifying the applicability of the act.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.

SB 1047, PN1455 The legislation authorizes the sale and transfer of ownership of Project 70 land in Wharton Township, Fayette County to Woodlands Zoo, Inc. for $190,000.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.

HB 1926, PN2906 The legislation authorizes the Department of Transportation, with the approval of the Governor, to convey of a 2-acre parcel of state land located in Elkland Township, Sullivan County to Elkland Township for consideration equal to $1,000.  The property must be used by the Township for parkland, community and related purposes.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.

HB 1993, PN2611 The legislation authorizes the Department of General Services, with the approval of the Governor and Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, to grant and convey 8.00 acres of land situate in East and West Hanover Townships, Dauphin County to Dr. and Mrs. Albert Zanetti.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.

EXECUTIVE NOMINATIONS
