other states provide these services, and to make recommendations to the

SB 711, PN 1110:
Known as the Consumer Protection Against Computer Spyware Act, this bill
would prohibit the distribution of “spyware” that modifies a user’s
preferences or security settings, collects personal information, or
takes control of a user’s computer. A vote of 48-0 was recorded.
HB 1261, PN 1487:
This bill would prohibit auto insurers from canceling, non-renewing,
imposing a surcharge or a rate penalty, or removing any premium discount
upon reinstatement of coverage for deployed National Guard members and
reservists. A vote of 48-0 was recorded.
SB 74, PN 1150:
This legislation would implement changes to the state’s child custody
laws, as suggested by the Joint State
Government Commission Task Force and Advisory Committee on Domestic
Relations Law. Sen. Greenleaf offered amendment A2906, which was
technical in nature, and Sen. Piccola offered amendment A2941, which
adds certain crimes to the list of enumerated offenses a court must
consider when ruling in custody or visitation cases. The Senate agreed
to both amendments, and the bill went over as amended.
