PASSED THE SENATE

 

SB 4, PN 1263: This legislation would establish spending limitations on the state budget.  Any surplus tax revenues collected in excess of the spending limit would be divided between a budget stabilization fund and a taxpayer fairness fund.  A vote of 42-8 was recorded.

SB 884, PN 1264: This joint resolution would propose a constitutional amendment to provide for spending limitations on the state budget.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

SB 193, PN 1271: This bill would provide for poll workers who serve a half-day.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

SB 384, PN 1285: This legislation would further provide for definitions and duties of the Public School Employee’s Retirement Board (PSERS).  Sen. Rhoades offered amendment A3285, which provides members with an opportunity to refuse disclosure of their information to an active employee or annuitant association.  Sen. Mellow offered amendment A3268, which was technical in nature.  The Senate agreed to both amendments, and the bill went over as amended.

SB 693, PN 830: This legislation would eliminate the requirement that circulators of school board candidate petitions belong to the same designated party as the candidate.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

HB 746, PN 2136: This bill would criminalize the act of luring a child into a car or building.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

SB 875, PN 1284: This bill would prohibit emergency procurement by the Pennsylvania Gaming Board.  Sen. Rafferty offered amendment A3127, which makes the bill take effect immediately upon its passage.  The Senate agreed to the amendment, and a vote of 50-0 was recorded on the bill.

SR 187, PN 1182: This resolution designates the month of November 2005 as “Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome Awareness Month” in Pennsylvania.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.
