PASSED THE SENATE

 

HB 127, PN 2996: This bill would provide for certain rights of resource (foster) parents.  Sen. Mellow offered amendment A3558, which was technical in nature.  The Senate agreed to the amendment, and the bill went over as amended.

SB 869, PN 1269: This legislation would allow college students who have served on active duty in the Pennsylvania National Guard to extend their eligibility for health insurance coverage under their parents’ policies.  For full-time students, their eligibility would be extended by a time period equal to their time served on active state or federal duty.  A vote of 49-0 was recorded.

HB 1579, PN 2997: This legislation would outline the responsibilities of county and private agencies regarding resource (foster) families.  Sen. Brightbill offered amendment A3750, which was technical in nature.  Sen. Mellow offered amendment A3562, which was technical in nature.  The Senate agreed to both amendments, and the bill went over as amended.

SB 235, PN 1261: This bill would require registered nurses to attend and complete 30 hours of continuing education every two years to renew their professional licenses.  A vote of 49-0 was recorded.

SB 665, PN 1260: This bill would amend the Probate, Estates and Fiduciaries Code to add redevelopment authorities to the list of persons who may seek letters of administration.  A vote of 49-0 was recorded.
