PASSED THE SENATE

 

SB 124, PN 703: The bill provides for applicability of certain provisions relating to equitable division of marital property in divorce actions.  A 47-0 vote was recorded.

SB 151, PN 137: The legislation amends the Public School Code to require more specific information to be included on the State and School Reports as it relates to the performance of students who have been enrolled in a school for less than two years, students who are classified as Limited English Proficient, and students with disabilities.  A 47-0 vote was recorded.

SB 158, PN 704: This Act is a road transfer bill for the City of Erie, Erie County.  A 47-0 vote was recorded.

SB 248, PN 705: The legislation amends Act 69 of 1967 by extending the application of the act from 1997 to 2005.  The original act, which is reauthorized periodically, validates conveyances and other instruments that have acknowledgements containing technical errors.  When a technical error exists in an acknowledgement, it makes subsequent transfers of property difficult unless the error is corrected by the act. This legislation will validate such acknowledgements for deeds and mortgages that are dated after 1996 but prior to 2005.  A 47-0 vote was recorded.

SB 300, PN 312: This bill authorizes health savings accounts, provides an exemption from the state income tax, and clarifies the coverage of mandated minimum benefits.  Senator Armstrong offered Amendment A0875.  The amendment further clarifies the exemptions of taxable contributions.  The Senate agreed to the amendment, and the bill went over as amended.

HB 486, PN 525: This bill authorizes the release of Project 70 restrictions on certain lands in Montgomery County.  A 47-0 vote was recorded.

SB 596, PN 616: This bill authorizes a land transfer in the Borough of Ambridge, Beaver County.  A 47-0 vote was recorded.
