PASSED THE SENATE

 

SR 126, PN 895: A Resolution designating the week of June 19 through 25, 2005, as "Biosciences Week" in Pennsylvania.  A 48-0 vote was recorded.

SB 126, PN 109: This bill designates a certain bridge carrying State Route 322 over Conestoga River in Earl Township, Lancaster County as the Representative Leroy M. Zimmerman Memorial Bridge.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.

SB 141, PN 128: This bill designates a bridge in Westtown Township, Chester County, the L. Charles Scipione Bridge.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.

SB 677, PN 815: This bill designates a portion of State Route 322 in Delaware County as the Senator Clarence D. Bell Memorial Highway.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.

HB 1178, PN 2132: The legislation repeals Act 1109 of April 3, 1872, which was established “for the recovery of stolen horses and other property, and for the detection of thieves in Crawford and Erie counties” It also gave the State Police of Crawford and Erie counties the same powers as the police of the city of Philadelphia.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.

SR 124, PN 841: This resolution directs the Legislative Budget and Finance Committee to conduct a study to determine the advantages and disadvantages of creating a separate cabinet-level Department of Veterans Affairs.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.

SB 410, PN 785: The legislation establishes the Pennsylvania Center for Environmental Education within the State System of Higher Education to identify needs for environmental education, promote research and development of programs.  Senator Mary Jo White offered Amendment A 1718 which was a technical amendment.  The amendment was agreed to.

SB 706, PN 850: This measure designates a bridge in Butler County the General Richard Butler Bridge.  Senator Mary Jo White offered Amendment A1640 which was a technical amendment.  The Amendment was agreed to.
