PASSED THE SENATE

 

SB 457, PN 900: This bill allows for retirees of third class cities to receive their pension while holding elected office providing they do not accept a salary for the office that they hold.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.

SB 594, PN 668: The bill provides for the creation of a trust for the owners of interests in oil and gas.  The trusts that are created will encourage the development of oil and gas resources while protecting the property interests of unknown or un-locatable owners of oil and gas interests.  The bill would create a new state law known as “The Dormant Oil and Gas Act.”  A 50-0 vote was recorded.

SB 722, PN 976: The bill amends the Storage Tank and Spill Prevention Act (Act 32 of 1989), to provide for the continuation of an additional allocation for the Underground Storage Tank Environmental Cleanup Program.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.

SR 116, PN 977: This measure would establish a select committee of the Senate that would study expanded use of toll funded highway and bridge projects and the development of public-private partnerships to manage construction and maintenance of expanded transportation projects.  The resolution was adopted.
