PASSED THE SENATE

 

SB 260, PN 264: This bill would establish the Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Compact, which provides uniform standards for individual and group annuities, life insurance, disability income insurance, and long-term care insurance.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.

HB 399, PN 610: This legislation would provide for the filing of prior surnames for individuals who are parties to a divorce action or where a divorce decree has been entered.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.

HB 599, PN 2395: This legislation would amend the Volunteer Fire Company and Volunteer Ambulance Service Grant Act to continue the program for another fiscal year.  Sen. Vance offered amendment A1131, which allows fire companies that consolidate to continue to apply for grants as separate entities.  The Senate agreed to the amendment, and the bill went over as amended.

SB 723, PN 1026: This bill would amend the Agricultural Area Security Law to encourage financial partnerships between state and local governments with eligible nonprofit entities in order to increase the funds available for the state’s Farmland Preservation Program.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.

HB 887, PN 2362: This legislation would amend the Game and Wildlife Code to provide a discounted ($1) resident hunting license to former POWs.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.

HB 1076, PN 2363: This bill would amend the Game and Wildlife Code to provide a discounted ($1) resident hunting license to Pennsylvania National Guard members and reservists who have served overseas for at least 180 days.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.

HB 1077, PN 2364: This bill would amend the Fish and Boat Code to provide a discounted ($1) resident fishing license to Pennsylvania National Guard members and reservists who have served overseas for at least 180 days.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.

SR 142, PN 1010: This resolution would urge the Governor and Department of Community and Economic Development to establish economic, educational, and cultural relations with Ukraine.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.
