PASSED THE SENATE

  HB 279, PN 2430: This bill would amend the Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement Law by extending the period to use excess interest for administrative expenses.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.

HB 136, PN 2243: This bill would stipulate that appropriations made to non-profit watershed associations by the board of supervisors of a second-class township could not be used for litigation against any municipal corporation or individual landowner.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.

HB 266, PN 2244: This bill would stipulate that appropriations made to non-profit watershed associations by a borough could not be used for litigation against any municipal corporation or individual landowner.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.

HB 267, PN 2245: This legislation would stipulate that appropriations made to non-profit watershed associations by the board of supervisors of a first-class township could not be used for litigation against any municipal corporation or individual landowner.  A 50-0 vote was recorded. 

HB 271, PN 1616: This bill would authorize the Fish and Boat Commission to convey two tracts of land in Cumberland County to the North Newton and West Pennsboro townships.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.

SB 639, PN 737: This bill would amend the Real Estate Tax Sale Law to further provide for property subject to or exempt from claim, for the owner’s last known address to be included in the contents of claims entered, and for the maintenance of a public records list.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.

SB 640, PN 738: This legislation would amend the Municipal Claim and Tax Lien Law to further provide for the donation of property in lieu of taxes and provide for a public record of all properties against which taxes were levied and remain unpaid.  A 50-0 vote was recorded.

HB 1589, PN 2493: This bill would expand the definition of a rural hospital.  Sen. Brightbill offered amendment A2701, which was technical in nature.  The Senate agreed to the amendment, and a vote of 50-0 was recorded for the bill.

HB 1745, PN 2492: This legislation would convey tracts of land and buildings, consisting of a portion of the former Laurelton Center, located in Hartley township, Union County.  Sen. Gordner offered amendment A2702, which added a conveyance of land in Danville, Montour County.  The Senate agreed to the amendment, and a vote of 50-0 was recorded for the bill.
