PASSED THE SENATE

 

HB 1650, PN 2489: This bill would amend Title 30 (Fish) to provide for a one-day tourist fishing license.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

HB 489, PN 2522: This legislation would make several changes to the Vehicle Code, including creating three new veterans license plates, providing for the efficient transfer of titles at wholesale vehicle auctions, requiring the revocation of a vehicle registration for an individual with six or more unpaid parking tickets in Philadelphia, removing the requirement that impoundment notices from the Philadelphia Parking Authority be delivered via return-receipt, and regulating red-light camera enforcement practices. 

Sen. Wozniak offered amendment A2641, which would appropriate all proceeds from the liquid fuel tax used in ATVs to the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources for the building and maintenance of recreational trails.  A vote of 48-2 was recorded on the amendment. 

Sen. Hughes offered amendment A2594, which would have removed language from the bill pertaining to the revocation of a vehicle registration after six unpaid tickets in the city of Philadelphia.  A vote of 20-30 was recorded on the amendment.

Sen. Hughes offered amendment A2608, which would have removed language from the bill pertaining to the requirement that impoundment notices from the Philadelphia Parking Authority be delivered via return-receipt.  A vote of 21-29 was recorded on the amendment.

Sen. Hughes offered amendment A2646, which would require that the Philadelphia Parking Authority notify an individual via return-receipt before their vehicle registration is revoked.  The Senate agreed to the amendment, and the bill went over as amended.

HB 612, PN 2100: This bill would allow PENNVEST to loan monies it obtains from federal and state sources to public and private water and sewer systems for security-related infrastructure improvements.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

SR 150, PN 1037: This resolution would urge the President and Congress to utilize all available remedies to prevent steel dumping.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

HB 1646, PN 2433: This bill would prohibit local government units from adopting or enforcing an ordinance that prohibits or limits a normal agricultural operation.  This bill would also require that all new or expanded Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs) and Concentrated Animal Operations (CAOs) have an odor management plan.  A vote of 49-1 was recorded.

SB 406, PN 1059: This bill would designate a State Route in Allegheny County, a bridge in Allegheny County, a bridge in Dauphin County, a bridge in Lancaster County, a portion of Sproul State Forest in northwestern Clinton County, and a portion of a State Route in Mifflin County.  Senator Belan served as a State Senator from 1989-2000.  The bridge carrying State Route 2096 over the Youghiogheny River in McKeesport shall be known as the Senator Albert V. “Bud” Belan Bridge.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

SB 462, PN 1056: This legislation would allow beer distributors (those who pay $100 for a special permit) to sell cases of beer on Sundays, between noon and 5 p.m.  Also, this legislation would provide for taverns and restaurants to receive a 10 percent discount on the retail prices for liquor purchases.  A vote of 39-11 was recorded.
