PASSED THE SENATE

 

HB 86, PN 1945: This bill would indemnify the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers from damages arising from construction, operation, and maintenance of projects on the Delaware River Canal that it performs in conjunction with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

HB 489, PN 2522: This legislation would make several changes to the Vehicle Code, including creating three new veterans license plates, providing for the efficient transfer of titles at wholesale vehicle auctions, requiring the revocation of a vehicle registration for an individual with six or more unpaid parking tickets in Philadelphia, removing the requirement that impoundment notices from the Philadelphia Parking Authority be delivered via return-receipt, regulating red-light camera enforcement practices, and providing for the funding of recreational trails for ATVs.  A vote of 46-4 was recorded.

SB 726, PN 941: This bill would amend the Second-Class County Code (Allegheny County) to require school districts and municipalities to reduce their millage rates after countywide reassessments so that property tax revenues remain neutral.  School districts and municipalities would be required to cast a separate vote (raising millage rates) to generate additional revenues.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

HB 1168, PN 2432: This bill would amend the Public Welfare Code to require nursing homes to be inspected at least twice annually for compliance with record-keeping requirements for Medicaid funds.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.
