PASSED THE SENATE

 

HB 1401, PN 1691: This bill would designate the bridge over Beech Creek on State Route 150 in Clinton and Centre Counties as the “Beech Creek Veterans Memorial Bridge.”  A vote of 49-0 was recorded.

SB 640, PN 1491: This legislation would amend the Municipal Claim and Tax Lien Law to provide further for the donation of property in lieu of taxes and provide for a public record of all properties against which taxes were levied and remain unpaid.  The goal of the bill is to get new owners for delinquent properties and return them to the tax rolls.  A vote of 47-2 was recorded on concurrence in House amendments.

HB 1525, PN 2743: This bill would amend the Liquor Code with regard to certain hotel licensees.  A vote of 49-0 was recorded.

SB 1081, PN 1512: This bill would ensure that former members of the National Guard who are disabled in the line of duty remain eligible for the National Guard Educational Assistance Program.  Sen. Robbins offered amendment A5860, which was technical in nature.  The Senate agreed to the amendment, and the bill was moved up.

HB 599, PN 3528: This legislation would extend the $25 million Volunteer Fire Company and Volunteer Ambulance Service Grant program through June 30, 2007.  A vote of 49-0 was recorded.
