PASSED THE SENATE

 

SR 235, PN 1537:  This resolution recognizes the lack of due process in the 1876-1878 trials of several alleged members of the Molly Maguire’s and memorializing the Governor to issue an order acknowledging the same.  A vote of 48-0 was recorded.

SB 873, PN 1539:  This bill provides for the highway capital budget project for fiscal 2005-2006.  A vote of 48-0 was recorded.

SB 780, PN 1549:  The bill amends the Crimes Code to provide a person with immunity from prosecution for underage drinking under certain circumstances.  A vote of 48-0 was recorded.

HB 200, PN 3732:  This bill establishes the Ounce of Prevention Program to provide grants to certain entities that provide home visitation and other services to low-income, at-risk expectant first-time mothers and their newborn children and families.  It also provides for the powers and duties of the Department of Public Welfare.  Senator Mellow offered amendment A6395, which was technical in nature.  The Senate agreed to the amendment and the bill was agreed to unanimously.
