PASSED THE SENATE

 

SB 386, PN 1651: This Democratic-sponsored legislation would amend the Crimes Code to assure that the courts could impose the toughest possible penalties for burglary and home invasion and correct an inconsistency between the state’s burglary and “Three Strikes” laws.  A vote of 49-0 was recorded on concurrence.

SB 1088, PN 1649:  This Democratic-sponsored bill would designate the section of State Route 219 in Somerset County as the Flight 93 Memorial Highway.  A vote of 49-0 was recorded.

SB 1169, PN 1628: This Democratic-sponsored bill would designate a portion of State Route 279 in Allegheny County (Parkway West) as the State Police Cpl. Joseph R. Pokorny Memorial Highway.  Pokorny had been a 22-year veteran of the State Police when he was killed in the line of duty in December.  A vote of 49-0 was recorded.
