PASSED THE SENATE

 

SR 256, PN 1667:  This legislation designates the week of April 2 through 8, 2006, as “Sleep Disorders Awareness Week” in Pennsylvania.  A final vote of 49-0 was recorded.

HB 2054, PN 3821: This bill amends Title 26 (Eminent Domain), Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) and Title 51 (Military Affairs) adding provisions relating to eminent domain.  Senator Fumo offered amendment A7182 that allows for special damages compensation to be made whether or not condemnation occurs for projects relating to the convention center in a first class city.  The amendment was adopted with a final vote of 43-6 and the bill went over as amended. 

SB 1007, PN 1650:  The bill amends the Standard Fire Policy law to provide for terrorism exclusion for fire insurance policies.  A final vote of 49-0 was recorded.

SB 1055, PN 1444:  The bill authorizes a land donation in Westmoreland County.  A final vote of 49-0 was recorded. 

SB 1068, PN 1467:  The bill authorizes a land conveyance in Dauphin County.  A final vote of 49-0 was recorded.

HB 2215, PN 3089:  The bill authorizes a land conveyance in Lancaster County.  A final vote of 49-0 was recorded.

HB 893, PN 3815:  The bill removes the provisions of Title 66 (Public Utilities Code) and establishes this as a freestanding act known as the Water Services Act. The bill requires state and local approval for terminations of transfers by municipal authorities.  A vote of 49-0 was recorded on concurrence in House amendments.
