PASSED THE SENATE

 

SR 259, PN 1732The resolution designates the week of May 7 through 13, 2006, as "Drinking Water Week" in Pennsylvania.  A vote of 48-0 was recorded and the resolution was adopted.

HB 15, PN 4008:  This measure amends Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) and Title 75 (Vehicles) as it pertains to DUI offenders.  Senator Corman offered amendment A7516 that clarifies language in regards to distributing grant money.  The amendment was agreed to and the bill went over as amended.

SB 255, PN 1774:  This bill amends the Public Welfare Code, by providing for county advisory committees in first and second-class counties, abolishing boards of assistance and making conforming amendments.  Senator Mellow offered amendment A7470 that provides for county advisory committees in the third class with a population between one hundred ninety-five thousand and two hundred twenty-five thousand persons, abolishing boards of assistance. The amendment was adopted with a final vote of 40-6 and the bill went over as amended.

SB 261, PN 265:  This bill would amend the Community and Economic Development Enhancement Act creating the position of Deputy Secretary for Local Government Services.  A final vote of 48-0 was recorded.

SB 810, PN 1021:  The bill eliminates language from the Administrative Code that requires DCED to annually provide uniform budget forms to municipalities, and for those municipalities in turn to file those budget forms with the Department.  A final vote of    48-0 was recorded.

HB 1580, PN 4009:  This bill would amend Title 3 (Agriculture) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statues further providing for the regulation of Cervidae livestock operations.  Senator Mellow offered amendment A7326 that is technical in nature.  The amendment was agreed to and the bill went over as amended.

SR 277, PN 1731:  This resolution designates May 7, 2006, as “Vietnam Veteran Remembrance Day” in Pennsylvania.  The resolution was adopted unanimously.

SB 723, PN 1772:  This bill amends the Agricultural Area Security Law.  A vote of 48-0 was recorded on concurrence in House amendments.

HB 983, PN 3880:  This bill would amend Title 12 (Commerce and Trade) to make changes to the Infrastructure and Facilities Improvement Program and create a Film Production Grant Program.  A vote of 46-2 was recorded on concurrence in House amendments.
