PASSED THE SENATE

 

SB 845, PN 2100 - This bill amends Title 23 (Domestic Relations) providing for court-appointed child custody health care or behavioral health practitioners.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded on concurrence. 

SB 628, PN 1943 - The bill amends the Probate, Estates and Fiduciaries Code, by amending provisions relating to advanced directives for health care (living wills) and adding provisions creating comprehensive health care powers of attorney.  The Senate agreed to amendment A9496, which was offered by Senator Greenleaf.  This amendment strengthens a default for the protection of life and for medical treatment in areas of uncertainty regarding the treatment of persons who are permanently unconscious or are at the end-stage of a medical condition.  It also improves the process and oversight for determinations of health care decisions by personal representatives, and clarifies terminology in statute and in sample forms. The bill went over as amended.  

SB 1235, PN 2106 - This bill amends the Acupuncture Registration Act by deleting certain language that regulates the practice of acupuncture.  A final vote of 50-0 was recorded.

HB 1285, PN 4643 - This bill amends Title 74, Transportation, providing for administrative practice and procedure and making a related repeal.  The Senate agreed to Senator Brightbill’s amendment A9664, which was technical in nature. The bill went over as amended.
