SB 623, PN 677: The legislation amends the Crimes Code relating
to definitions and the use of force in law enforcement. The changes to
these sections authorize a corrections officer to use whatever force is
necessary to defend himself or another from bodily harm during the
pursuit of an escaped person. A vote of 49-0 was recorded.
SB 635, PN 597: The bill amends the Borough Code by removing
assessor as an elected office. Amendment A00501 was offered by Senator
Mellow, which was technical in nature and went over as amended.
SB 636, PN 598: The bill amends the 4th through 8th
Class County Assessment Law, by eliminating all references to assessors
from boroughs, towns and township of the first class. Amendment A00577
was offered by Senator Gordner, which was technical in nature and went
over as amended.
SB 709, PN 860: The bill amends the First Class Township Code
by removing assessor as an elected office. Amendment A00498 was offered
by Senator Mellow, which was technical in nature and went over as
amended.
SB 537, PN 581: This bill amends Title 18, making it unlawful
for any person to knowingly purchase, sell, install or reinstall a
fraudulent air bag on a motor vehicle. Amendment A00508 was offered by
Senator Greenleaf, which was technical in nature and went over as
amended.
