The legislation provides for the codification of various statutes
relating to the confinement of county and state criminal offenders as
well as the supervision of such offenders on probation or parole. A

The legislation provides for the authorization of a land conveyance in
the City of Scranton, Lackawanna County, to the Lackawanna Transit
System Authority. In exchange for the transfer, the Authority will

The bill amends the Administrative Code by further providing for the
Pennsylvania State Police. A vote of 48-1 was recorded.
SB 331, PN 366: The bill amends the Crimes Code as it
relates to robbery. A vote of 49-0 was recorded.
SB 450, PN 497:
The bill amends the Crimes Code by creating a series of new criminal
offenses where the victim is a law enforcement officer engaged in the
performance of duty, and the perpetrator knew or should have known that
the victim was a law enforcement officer. A vote of 47-2 was recorded.
SB 467, PN 512:
The legislation amends the Sunshine Act by increasing the penalty to
$1,000 for the first offense and $2,000 for a second offense and
subsequent offenses plus the cost of prosecution. Senator Armstrong
offered amendment A00310, which states that agencies may not pay or
reimburse the fine for members of that agency who are in violation of
this section. The Senate agreed to the amendment and it went over as
amended.

The bill amends Title 34 (Game) by allowing dogs to be used for wild
turkey hunting. A vote of 48-1 was recorded.

The bill amends the Borough Code by removing assessor as an elected
office. A vote of 49-0 was recorded.
SB 636, PN 928:
The bill amends the 4th through 8th Class County
Assessment Law by eliminating all references to assessors from boroughs,
towns and township of the first class. A vote of 49-0 was recorded.
SB 650, PN 680:
The legislation amends the Liquor Code by allowing the issuing of a
special occasions permit to a bona fide
sportsmen's club in existence for at least ten
years conducting a national golf championship. A vote of 49-0 was
recorded.

The bill amends the First Class Township Code by removing assessor as an
elected office. A vote of 49-0 was recorded.
SR 92, PN 892:
The resolution designates the week of May 20, 2007, as “MRSA Awareness
