PASSED THE SENATE

 

SB 1006, PN 1236: This bill would make appropriations from the State Gaming Fund to the Gaming Control Board, the Revenue Department, the State Police, and the Attorney General for fiscal year 2007-08. A vote of 49-0 was recorded.

SB 468, PN 1255: This joint resolution would prohibit “lame-duck” sessions. Sen. Boscola offered amendment A1376, which permits special sessions to convene during the lame-duck time period. The Senate agreed to the amendment, and the bill went over as amended.

HB 840, PN 955: This legislation would designate a bridge in Warren County as the AMVETS POW-MIA Memorial Bridge. A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

HB 917, PN 1067: This bill would permit a borough to sell property to a council of government without going through customary bidding requirements. A vote of 49-0 was recorded.

HB 1367, PN 2087: This legislation would make several changes to the Public Welfare Code, including providing criteria for payments to county and non-public nursing facilities, applying a revenue adjustment factor, setting out procedures for adding beds, implementing assessments on county facilities, establishing a Pharmaceutical and Therapeutics Committee, and establishing a Senior Care and Services Study Commission. A vote of 49-0 was recorded.

SR 114, PN 980: This concurrent resolution urges Congress to use dairy farmers’ cost of production when calculating minimum milk prices. A vote of 49-0 was recorded.

SR 139, PN 1232: This resolution designates the month of August 2007 as “Pennsylvania Produce Month.” A vote of 49-0 was recorded.

SR 144, PN 1254: This Democratic-sponsored resolution directs the Legislative Budget and Finance Committee to study and report on the economic impact of Hazleton’s proposed cargo airport. A vote of 49-0 was recorded.
