PASSED THE SENATE

 

SB 86, PN 1250:  This bill further provides for the business of selling or reselling of tickets over the internet. The Senate concurred with the House amendments. 

HB 1295, PN 2173:  The legislation amends the Fiscal Code to provide that all of the money deposited in the Keystone Recreation, Park and Conservation Fund (Keystone Fund) in 2006-07 be transferred to the State System of Higher Education. The bill also provides for the budget implementation language and The Commonwealth Group Life Insurance Plan.  Senator Earll offered amendment A2655, which adds additional implementation language in regards to the Tax Payer Relief Act. The Senate agreed to the amendment, and the bill went over as amended.  

HB 896, PN 2178:  The legislation allows wineries, which have the interest of promoting Pennsylvania products and culture, to obtain a special permit for use at wine, food and cultural expositions, as well as farmer markets.  Senator Rafferty offered amendment A2823 that adds clarifying language to certain definitions.  The Senate agreed to the amendment, and the bill went over as amended.

The Senate confirmed the following nominees by a vote of 49-0:

  • Jamie L. Sheller, Esquire, Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority

  • Geoffrey G. Jordan, Board of Trustees of Norristown State Hospital

  • George Gregory, Magisterial District Judge – Forrest/Warren Counties
