PASSED THE SENATE

 

SB 690, PN 1290:  This legislation would establish the Resource Enhancement and Protection Tax Credit Program for the stewardship of agricultural lands and riparian corridors. A vote of 48-0 was recorded.

HB 1251, PN 2287: This bill, part of the “scope of practice” package of legislation, would amend the Medical Practice Act of 1985 to increase the number of physician assistants that a medical doctor may supervise from two to four. A vote of 48-0 was recorded.

HB 1252, PN 2288: This bill, part of the “scope of practice” package of legislation, would amend the Osteopathic Medical Practice Act to increase the number of physician assistants that an osteopathic doctor may supervise from two to four. A vote of 48-0 was recorded.

HB 1254, PN 2295: This bill, part of the “scope of practice” package of legislation, would amend the Professional Nursing Law to provide for clinical nurse specialists. Sen. Tomlinson offered amendment A2987, which was technical in nature. The Senate agreed to the amendment, and the bill went over as amended.

HB 1255, PN 2290: This bill, part of the “scope of practice” package of legislation, would amend the Medical Practice Act of 1985 to permit nurse-midwives to prescribe medication, as part of a collaborative practice with a physician. A vote of 48-0 was recorded.

HB 202, PN 2286: This legislation would amend the Vehicle Code to extend provisions for removing abandoned vehicles that are currently in place in Philadelphia to the city of Pittsburgh and to clarify legislative intent with regard to pilot cars accompanying oversize loads. A vote of 48-0 was recorded.

SB 917, PN 1106: This Democratic-sponsored legislation would authorize the sale of approximately five acres in Cambria County to CDM Edensburg, LLC. A vote of 48-0 was recorded.

SB 989, PN 1207: This bill would sell state land in Susquehanna Township, Dauphin County, to the Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union. A vote of 48-0 was recorded.

HB 1253, PN 2296: This bill, part of the “scope of practice” package of legislation, would amend the Professional Nursing Law to permit certified nurse practitioners to order home health and hospice care, order durable medical equipment, issue oral orders, make physical therapy and dietician referrals, make respiratory and occupational therapy referrals, perform disability assessments for welfare programs, issue home bound schooling certifications, and perform and sign an initial assessment of methadone treatment evaluation. Sen. Tomlinson offered amendment A3029, which was technical in nature. The Senate agreed to the amendment, and the bill went over as amended.

HB 1656, PN 2294: This legislation would transfer lands in Montgomery County for addition to Evansburg State Park and authorize the sale of one acre to Jefferson County for building an emergency communications tower. Sen. Scarnati offered amendment A3008, which added a land conveyance in Tioga County. The Senate agreed to the amendment, and the bill went over as amended.
