SB 751, PN 822:
The legislation amends the Judicial Code to prohibit the imposition of
the death penalty on a person with mental retardation. Senator Piccola
offered amendment A3616, which would allow for post trial determination
of mental retardation instead of pre-trial as well as change the
definition of mental retardation. A vote of 9-40 was recorded and the
amendment failed. Senator Piccola also offered amendment A3743 that
would change the definition of mental retardation. A vote of 11-38 was
recorded and the amendment failed.
SB 861, PN 1467:
The bill amends the Judicial Code to add judges to certain judicial
districts. A vote of 47-2 was recorded.
SB 1017, PN 1269:
This bill
amends Pennsylvania’s “Phosphate Detergent Act” (Act 31 of 1989) to
provide for an exception on the use of cleaning agents containing
phosphates. A vote of 49-0 was recorded.
HB 1644, PN 2119:
This measure designates State Route 22/322 from the Mifflintown exit in
Juniata County to the Juniata/Mifflin County line as the Dr. L.G. Guiser
Memorial Highway. A vote of 49-0 was recorded.
