PASSED THE SENATE

 

 

SB1, PN1721: This bill would provide for access to public information by designation of an open-records officer in each Commonwealth agency, local agency, judicial agency and legislative agency.  These officers will be responsible for procedure, appeal of agency determination, judicial review and the Pennsylvania Public Records Office.  The bill would also impose penalties; provide for reporting by State-related institutions; and require the posting of certain State contract information on the Internet.  The Senate concurred in House amendments by a 50-0 vote.  The bill will be returned to the House of Representatives. 

SB313, PN1792: This bill amends the Pharmacy Act to create the registration and qualifications for a pharmacy technician.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

SB1023, PN1350: This bill amends the Acupuncture Registration Act to change the requirement from “registration” to “license”.  A vote of 42-8 was recorded.
