PASSED THE SENATE

 

 

HB 1621, PN 3154: This bill authorizes the lease of land with the bed of the Delaware River in the City of Philadelphia to VTE Philadelphia, LP. The Senate concurred in House amendments by a vote of 49-0. 

HB 1627, PN 3155:  The legislation authorizes the lease of land with the bed of the Delaware River in the City of Philadelphia to NCCB Associates, LP.  The Senate concurred in House amendments by a vote of 49-0. 

SB 295, PN 1707:  This bill creates a free standing Act to be cited as the Diesel-Powered Commercial Vehicle Idling Act.  Senator Madigan offered amendment A05644, which makes a technical change to the definition of "Commercial Motor Vehicle".  The Senate agreed to the amendment and the bill went over as amended. 

SB 776, PN 1719:  The legislation allows for the Department of State to be notified of the death of residents for the purpose of updating voter registration records.  Senator Wonderling offered amendment A05647, which requires that the county of death, state file number and last four digits of the decedent's Social Security number be included in the other information passed on to the Department of State.  The amendment also made technical changes.  The Senate agreed to the amendment and the bill went over as amended. 

SB 987, PN 1620:  The bill amends the Third Class City Code by ensuring that third class cities are responsible for providing fire and emergency medical services and to require certain reporting requirements.  Senator Baker offered amendment A05631 that requires cities with fire and emergency medical services providers discuss the emergency needs of the city.  The Senate agreed to the amendment and the bill went over as amended. 

SB 1019, PN 1711:  The legislation amends the Board of Vehicles Act to further provide for vehicle shows involving recreational vehicles.  A vote of 49-0 was recorded. 

HB 1131, PN 1382:  The bill amends The Second Class Township Code by requiring townships provide fire and emergency medical services.  Townships will also be responsible for financial and administrative assistance to carry out the services.  Senator Baker offered amendment A05632, which adds the requirement that boroughs consult with fire and emergency medical services providers to discuss the emergency needs of the borough.  The Senate agreed to the amendment and the bill went over as amended. 

HB 1133, PN 1384:  The legislation amends The Borough Code by requiring boroughs to provide fire and emergency medical services.  Boroughs will also be responsible for financial and administrative assistance to carry out the services.  Senator Baker offered amendment A05629, which requires that boroughs consult with fire and emergency medical services providers to discuss the emergency needs of the borough.  The Senate agreed to the amendment and the bill went over as amended. 

HB 1134, PN 1385:  The legislation amends The First Class Township Code by requiring first class townships to provide fire and emergency medical services.  These townships will also be responsible for financial and administrative assistance to carry out the services.  Senator Baker offered amendment A05630, which adds the requirement that boroughs consult with fire and emergency medical services providers to discuss the emergency needs of the borough. The Senate agreed to the amendment and the bill went over as amended. 

SB 1201, PN 1709:  This bill amends Title 74 (Transportation) pertaining to the use of official Commonwealth aircraft for travel. This measure would require that information be provided for any flight undertaken by the Commonwealth’s aircraft and that the Department of Transportation maintain this information on their website.  Senator Madigan offered amendment A05661 that requires both executive and passenger flights are included in the online log, which according to the amendment must be updated monthly.  The Senate agreed to the amendment and the bill went over as amended.
