PASSED THE SENATE

 

 

SB 810, PN 1935: This legislation authorizes the sale of property, for fair market value, in the City of Pittston, Luzerne County.  The property includes .51 acres and a one-story office building.  The Redevelopment Authority of the City of Pittston will buy the tract of land.  The Senate concurred 48-0.

SB 232, PN 1916: The bill amends the provision of the Criminal History Record Information Act to permit the expungement of certain criminal conviction data.  The bill passed by of a vote of 48-0.

SB 1149, PN 1531: This legislation adds mass transit employees to the list of officers and employees under the current aggravated assault statute.  Senator Tartaglione offered Amendment A06767, which was technical in nature.  The amendment was agreed to and bill went over as amended.

SR 263, PN 1922: The resolution directs the Legislative Budget and Finance Committee to conduct a study relating to the funds collected from the $4 fee from construction or building permits and to report its findings to the General Assembly by June 30, 2008.  Senator Gordner Amendment A06751, which was technical in nature.  The agreed to and bill went over as amended.

SR 264, PN 1937: The resolution recognizes May 1, 2008, as the “National Day of Prayer” in Pennsylvania and encouraging the celebration of religious freedom.  The Senate adopted the resolution unanimously.
