PASSED THE SENATE

 

 

SB1093, PN2038: This legislation is designed to secure survivor benefit coverage for surviving spouses of police officers who retired before the effective date of Act 30, 2006 and died after the act’s effective date.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

SB615, PN2051: This is the Bail Bond Enforcement Agent Law providing for the licensing of bail bond agents.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

HB775, PN3081: The bill amends the act of June 11, 1935, by requiring the county commissioners in counties of the first class to procure appropriate markers for the graves of all deceased persons who served in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine during World War II or any organization officially connected therewith and whose separation from such service was honorable, whether by discharge or otherwise.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

HB776, PN3081: The bill amends the act of August 9, 1955, by requiring the county commissioners in counties of the first, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth classes to procure appropriate markers for the graves of all deceased persons who served in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine during World War II or any organization officially connected therewith and whose separation from such service was honorable, whether by discharge or otherwise.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

HB777, PN3083: The bill amends the act of July 28, 1953, by requiring the county commissioners in counties of the second class and second class A to procure appropriate markers for the graves of all deceased persons who served in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine during World War II or any organization officially connected therewith and whose separation from such service was honorable, whether by discharge or otherwise.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

HB1281, PN3767: This bill amends the “Pennsylvania Appalachian Trail Act” (Act 41 of 1978) to further provide for municipal responsibilities along the corridor of the Appalachian Trail in Pennsylvania.  A vote of 48-2 was recorded.

SR 321, PN2033: The resolution memorializes the President and the Congress of the United States to enact bill S.70 of 2007, restoring the traditional day of observation of Memorial Day.  The resolution was adopted unanimously.

SR327, PN2034: The Resolution observes the week of May 18 through 24, 2008, as “Emergency Medical Services Week” as well as recognizing May 21, 2008, as “Emergency Medical Services Day for Children” in Pennsylvania.  The resolution was adopted unanimously.
