PASSED THE SENATE

 

 

SB 33, PN 1230 The bill amends the Election Code by further for powers and duties of the Secretary of the Commonwealth, for Voting Standards Development Board and for restrictions on alteration of boundaries of election districts.  The Senate concurred in House amendments by a vote of 48-0. 

HB 262, PN 1776:  The legislation creates the “Prescribed Burning Practices Act,” which is to encourage the continued use of prescribed burning as a land management tool.  A vote of 48-0 was recorded.

SB 711, PN 1247: This bill amends Title 4 (Amusements) by incorporating a number of legislative reform proposals that offer clarification and to make changes related to the Race Horse Development and Gaming Act.  A vote of 47-1 was recorded. 

SB 851, PN 1242 The legislation amends the Volunteer Fire Company and Volunteer Ambulance Service Grant Act by stating which volunteer companies and services are exempt from the Right-To-Know Law.  A vote of 47-1 was recorded.

SB 973, PN 1248:  The bill amends the Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act to further provide for procedures for registration as a contractor and for prohibited acts.  A vote of 48-0 was recorded.

SR 143, PN 1243:  A Resolution proclaiming the week of July 12 through 18, 2009, as "Probation, Parole and Community Supervision Week" in Pennsylvania.  Amendment A02427 was offered which changes the date to July 19 through the 25th.  The Senate agreed to the amendment and the resolution was adopted.
