PASSED THE SENATE

 

 

HB 92, PN 1705 This legislation would amend Title 34 (Game) by creating a fee for the operation of a computerized licensing system by the Pennsylvania Game Commission.  A vote of 46-1 was recorded.  However, a motion to reconsider the vote was granted and a final vote of 45-2 was recorded. 

HB 109, PN 913 The bill authorizes Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County, to sell and convey certain Project 70 lands free of restrictions imposed by the Project 70 Land Acquisition and Borrowing Act, in return for the imposition of Project 70 restrictions on other land to be acquired by the township.  Senator M. J. White offered amendment A02366 that authorizes the release of Project 70 restrictions and sale of lands owned by the City of Warren for $81,500, which represents the fair market value of the property.  The proceeds from the sale of the land will be deposited into a special account established by the City of Warren for acquisition or development of park land, to include a ball field and parking lot.  Senator Musto offered amendment A02504 which authorizes the release of 3 parcels of land commonly known as the Coal Street Park in the City of Wilkes-Barre from Project 70 restrictions.  Senator Mellow offered amendment A02515 authorizes the release of Project 70 restrictions and transfer of lands owned by the Borough of Old Forge for a sale of no less than $5,000.  The Senate agreed to the amendments and the bill went over as amended. 

SB 628, PN 673:  The bill amends the Judicial Code to prohibit the imposition of the death penalty on a person with mental retardation.  A vote of 45-2 was recorded. 

SR 62, PN 1201:  The resolution urges the spending of the Federal economic recovery funds on products that are made and services that are performed in the United States.  The resolution was adopted.

SR 127, PN 1066:  The resolution urges the Commonwealth and all of its departments, agencies, boards and commissions to procure and utilize, where possible, Pennsylvania remanufactured automobile parts and equipment.  The resolution was adopted.
