PASSED THE SENATE

 

 

HB 109, PN 2417:  The bill authorizes Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County, to sell and convey certain Project 70 lands free of restrictions imposed by the Project 70 Land Acquisition and Borrowing Act, in return for the imposition of Project 70 restrictions on other land to be acquired by the township; also authorizes the City of Warren, Warren County, to sell and convey certain Project lands free of restrictions imposed by the Project 70 Land Acquisition and Borrowing Act; also authorizes the City of Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County to convey a fee interest in certain Project 70 lands free of restrictions imposed under Project 70 Land Acquisition and Borrowing Act; also authorizes the Borough of Old Forge, Lackawanna County to transfer, to sell and convey certain Project 70 lands free of restrictions imposed by the Project 70 Land Acquisition and Borrowing Act.  A vote of 47-0 was recorded.

SB 143, PN 939:  This bill amends Title 75 (Vehicle Code) by prohibiting the operation of a moving vehicle on a highway while using a wireless communication device to send, read or write a text message.  A vote of 44-3 was recorded.
