PASSED THE SENATE

 

 

HB 263, PN 268:  This bill amends the “Pennsylvania Appalachian Trail Act” (Act 41 of 1978) to further clarify the duties of municipalities along the corridor of the Appalachian Trail in Pennsylvania.  A vote of 47-0 was recorded. 

SB 491, PN 497 The bill authorizes the Department of General Services to grant and convey, at a price to be determined through a competitive bid process, certain lands, buildings and improvements located in the City of Oil City, Venango County.  Senator M. J. White offered amendment A02462, which restricts the use of the land for gambling purposes.  The Senate agreed to the amendment and the bill went over as amended. 

SB 492, PN 498 The bill authorizes the Department of General Services to grant and convey, at a price to be determined through a competitive bid process, certain lands, buildings and improvements located in the Second Ward of the City of Corry, Erie County.  Senator M. J. White offered amendment A02463, which restricts the use of the land for gambling purposes.  The Senate agreed to the amendment and the bill went over as amended. 

SB 925, PN 1115:  This bill amends the Massage Therapy Law by requiring that an applicant must have completed a massage program of at least 600 hours of in-class, postsecondary education instruction approved by the board at a regionally accredited college or university, Pennsylvania private licensed school or its equivalent as determined by the board.  Senator Tomlinson offered amendment A02731 that is technical in nature.  The Senate agreed to the amendment and the bill went over as amended.
