HB 1800, PN 4091 This bill amends Title 75 as it pertains to retired status registration renewals.  A vote of 49-1 was recorded. 

 

HB 2289, PN 4092:  The legislation provides for the Capital Budget and Project Itemization Act of 2010-2011.  A vote of 38-12 was recorded. 

 

HB 2493, PN 4093:  The bill amends the Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement to ensure that the Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement System (PMRS) remains a “tax qualified plan” as required by the Internal Revenue Service. A plan must be “tax qualified” in order for member contributions to be eligible for tax deferral. The bill also contains definitions and authorization relating to the Deferred Retirement Option Program (DROP) to meet the requirements of Act 44 of 2009.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded. 

 

HB 254, PN 4076:  This legislation requires the Department of Public Welfare to create a standard form for use by veteran services in determining eligibility for veteran’s benefits available on their website.  The bill also establishes the Quality Care Assessment on each covered hospital in order to generate additional revenue for the purpose of assuring that medical assistance recipients have access to hospital services.  A vote of 48-2 was recorded.

 

SB 699, PN 1888:  The legislation creates the Adult Protective Services Act.  Under this act, adults who lack the capacity to protect themselves and are at imminent risk of abuse, neglect, exploitation or abandonment will have access to services necessary to protect their health, safety and welfare.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

 

HB 1300, PN 2702:  This bill designates and intersection in Washington County and a bridge in Chester County.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded. 

 

SB 1305, PN 2050 This bill amends the Vehicle Code to raise the weight limit exemptions for the regulation of farm vehicles.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded. 

 

HB 1859, PN 4056 In an effort to further deter poaching activity in the Commonwealth; this legislation amends Title 34 (Game) to increase fines, imprisonment, license revocations, and grading of offenses for serious game law violations.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded. 

 

HB 1890, PN 3954 The bill authorizes the Department of General Services to grant and convey to The Pennsylvania State University, certain lands located in Benner Township, Centre County; authorizes the Department of General Services to grant and convey to Benner Township, certain lands located  in Benner Township, Centre County; authorizes the Department of General Services to grant and convey to the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, certain lands located in Benner Township, Centre County; and authorizes the Department of General Services to grant and convey to the Pennsylvania Game Commission, certain lands located in Benner Township, Centre County.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded. 

 

HB 2290, PN 4090:  This legislation amends the Capital Facilities Debt Enabling Act increasing the commonwealth’s general obligation borrowing authority for Redevelopment Capital Projects.  A vote of 38-12 was recorded. 

 

SB 747, PN 1897 This bill creates a new act known as the Sale of Transportation Lands Act which authorizes the Department of Transportation to sell at public sale land acquired by the Department upon determination that the land is not needed for present or future transportation purposes as well as repeals a provision of The Administrative Code.  The Senate concurred to House amendments by a vote of 50 -0. 

 

SB 1042, PN 2141:  The bill amends the Fiscal Code to further provide for the implementation language for the 2010-11 budget.  The Senate concurred in House amendments by a vote of 39-11.

 

HB 1186, PN 4094 The legislation amends the Administrative Code by making some department name changes as well as establishing the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs.  The bill also creates a Board of Directors in the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency.   The Senate concurred in House amendments by a vote of 40-10.
