Sabatina to Host Free Document Shredding Event April 29

PHILADELPHIA, April 7, 2017 — State Sen. John Sabatina is hosting a free document shredding event on Saturday, April 29 from 9 a.m. to noon at the senator’s district office in the Parkwood Shopping Center at 12361 Academy Road.

Individuals are welcome to bring up to four boxes of documents they no longer need that contains personal information such as credit card statements, credit card applications, bank statements, cancelled checks, income tax forms, insurance records/information, and medical retirement/pension fund information.

“It’s important that we all take steps to protect our personal information and prevent ourselves from becoming victims of consumer fraud and identity theft,” said Sabatina (D-Philadelphia). “This free shredding event allows individuals to safely destroy documents containing sensitive information that they no longer need.”

Documents will be shredded on-site with the shredded paper later to be recycled.  Individuals may witness the document shredding in person.
