PHILADELPHIA – February 19, 2019 – State Senator Art Haywood (D-Montgomery/Philadelphia) announced that job training funding has been awarded to Arcadia University.

“I am pleased to announce funding will go to Arcadia University to strengthen their apprenticeship program and further hone necessary skills to prepare students to pursue quality careers.”

Arcadia University’s Registered Apprenticeship Program for Early Childhood Education professionals (ARAP-ECE) was awarded $150,000 through the PAsmart Apprenticeship and Next Generation Industry Partnerships grant.  These funds will be used to serve multi-employer programs, promote non-traditional model of apprenticeship, and promote non-traditional service delivery that increases the availability of registered apprentices  serving working individuals.

“I want to thank Governor Tom Wolf for the grant funding.  Proper training will further ensure growth for both the students of Arcadia University and therefore the community.”
