Senators Yudichak and Costa to Discuss Marcellus Shale Impact on NEPA

WILKES BARRE, August 8, 2011 –State Sen. John Yudichak (D-Luzerne), Democratic Chair of the Environmental Resources and Energy Committee, will join with Senate Democratic Leader Jay Costa (D-Allegheny) to discuss Marcellus Shale and its impact in Northeast Pennsylvania and statewide, as well as the job creation potential of the industry.  The senators will also discuss the ongoing efforts in the legislature to impose a fair and responsible severance fee on Marcellus Shale drilling.

Joining the Senators at the event will be Paul Swartz of the Susquehanna River Basin Commission and Jim Brozena of the Luzerne County Flood Protection Authority.
