At the request of Sen. John Sabatina, the state Senate Democratic Policy Committee will hold a public hearing on Friday in Philadelphia on ways to improve pedestrian safety and prevent traffic incidents.

The hearing is scheduled for Friday, April 5 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family University, Campus Center, Room 115. (9801 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia, 19114).

The hearing was requested by Senator John Sabatina (D- Philadelphia), who serves as Democratic Chair of the Senate Transportation Committee. The hearing was prompted by the increasing number of pedestrian traffic incidents, injuries, and deaths on Philadelphia roadways, specifically Roosevelt Boulevard.

The hearing will be jointly chaired by state Sen. Lisa Boscola (D-Northampton/Lehigh) the Democratic Policy Chair.
