HB 728, PN 3887 (Barrar) – This legislation amends the Combustible and Flammable Liquids Act of October 18, 2000 by adding a subsection providing for further regulations and safety requirements for emergency fuel shut-off devices. A vote of 49-0 was recorded.
SB 1092, PN 1270 (Greenleaf) – This bill amends provisions of the Probate, Estates and Fiduciaries Code (Probate Code), Title 20 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, relating to the validity of powers of attorney and the good faith reliance on powers of attorney by third parties. Senator Greenleaf offered amendment A13129, which gutted the current language in the bill and replaced it with new language to further provide for form of power of attorney. The amendment was agreed to and the bill went over in its order as amended.
HB 1478, PN 1785 (Sonney) – The legislation amends the Third Class County Convention Center Authority Act of the County Code by granting the county the ability to impose a hotel tax which cannot exceed seven (7%) percent (Erie County).The bill also provides which fund this increase will be deposited into. A vote of 47-2 was recorded.
