The reduction in the wage tax will not affect educational funding. In fact, in the long run, it will increase it because school taxes are generated through the real estate tax and not the wage tax. By lowering our wage tax and attracting more jobs and people to live in the city, our real estate values will increase, ultimately yielding increased funding for education.
