Senate Democrats recently supported a measure to look at changing the menu of taxes available to local municipalities and school districts. Recently, the Senate adopted a school funding plan that would result in lower property taxes for homeowners in 500 school districts, paid for by delaying computer contracts for the state bureaucracy. You also could urge your represenatives to support this measure in the final budget. Finally, contact your family and friends and ask them to do the same.
