SB 417, PN 436 (Martin) – This bill amends the Election Code to set a minimum votes-received threshold for write-in candidates in order for votes to be accepted/certified during a general election. Senator Martin offered amendment A04626 which is a technical amendment. The amendment was agreed to by a voice vote and the bill went over in its order.

SB 462, PN 858 (Phillips-Hill) – This bill would provide for updates to the Public School Code. Senator L. Williams offered amendment A04837 which would prevent the Medical Education Loan Assistance program from being repealed. The amendment failed by a vote of 22-28. The bill was approved by a vote of 43-7.

HB 752, PN 802 (Turzai) – The bill amends Title 34 (Game) by removing the $400/acre restriction on Game Fund money that is used to purchase land to be used as game lands in Allegheny County. A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

SB 1027, PN 1621 (Gordner) – This bill amends the Administrative Code to modify the composition of the State Geospatial Coordinating Board and extend the sunset date of the Board to 2024. A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

HB 1869, PN 3569 (Owlett) –  An Act amending Title 35 (Health and Safety) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in emergency medical services system, further providing for basic life support ambulances. Senator Regan offered amendment A05124 which provides for COVID-19 enforcement officer disability benefits. Senator Muth offered amendment A05178 which provides benefits for PA National Guard members for COVID-19. The amendments were agreed to by a voice vote and the bill went over in its order.
