HB 863, PN 1047 (Benninghoff) – The bill designates a bridge on State Route 3006 over Spring Creek, Bellefonte Borough, Centre County, as the Bellefonte Veterans Bridge. A vote of 49-0 was recorded.
SB 880, PN 1024 (Smucker) – This legislation delays the implementation of the Keystone Exam as a graduation requirement until the 2018-2019 school year. A vote of 49-0 was recorded.
HB 911, PN 1769 (Barrar) – The bill updates definitions, telecommunications management, and operational procedures. It establishes a more uniform 911 surcharge fee and a 911 Fund for collection and distribution of surcharges and fees. Several technical amendments were unanimously agreed to, including A02109 (Vulakovich), A02154 (Costa) and A02162 (Mensch). Senator McGarrigle’s amendment (A02137), which further addresses multipliers applied to surcharges for digital transmission links, was rejected by a vote of 3-46. The bill went over in its order as amended.
